Job Purpose:

The Last KM Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the "last kilometer" area, bridging the gap between the transport hubs and the stadium footprint, including inside the stadium perimeter (when relevant). This role ensures a safe and engaging movement of ticket holders in the final approach to the venue, enhancing crowd experience while maintaining safety and operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Planning & Delivery
Design/implement/support a detailed Last KM operational plan for ingress and egress, together with UEFA and aligned with the requirements of the different target groups (e.g., VIPs, media, sponsors, hospitality guests, finalists’ supporters with fan march, general public).
Ensure smooth transitions between transport hubs (trains, metro, shuttles, park-and-ride) and stadium entry points considering all aspects linked to ticket & security checks.
Oversee wayfinding, signage and entertainment (e.g. F&B, entertainment) elements within the Last KM area and the distribution of the material required (e.g. foam hands, megaphones, lollipops, etc.). 
Volunteer planning, management and deployment. Provide support in producing the briefings document and training the workforce.

Stakeholder Coordination
Integration of the Last KM plan with the overall safety, security & mobility plan.
Liaise with host city, local authorities, transport operators, MLSZ & UEFA competence centres, stadium operator, security, and volunteer team.
Lead coordination meetings and site visits with stakeholders to align operational strategies.

Safety & Contingency Management
Be involved in crowd management, emergency access, and contingency plans discussions.
Monitor real-time conditions on match day and have an active role on the ground to support the team deployment and operations.

Branding & Fan Experience
Integrate sponsor activations, entertainment, and fan engagement activities in the Last KM zone where appropriate.
Support UEFA's commitment to a positive, inclusive fan experience. 

Team Management
Train, and manage a team of volunteers and supervisors when needed operating in the Last KM.
Implement clear communication channels with the workforce (WhatsApp, radio).  

Profile of successful candidate

Must-have requirements

  • Full fluency in English (both oral and written) and in Hungarian
  • Minimum of two years working in an event management role, ideally in a spectator service capacity
  • One to three years in project management

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to multitask and work in an international environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Ability to plan activities, maintain efficient filing systems, and meet quality standards and deadlines
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
