Monday saw the men's national squad arrive in Telki and a first training session which the players completed in two separate groups. Head coach Marco Rossi made several adjustments to his squad before that point though, Callum Styles's unavailability due to injury meaning he hasn't travelled to Telki. The West Bromwich Albion midfielder will be replaced by two Paks players, Bálint Vécsei, who receives his first call-up in two years, and former Hungary Under-21 international defender Attila Osváth, who could make his first appearance at this level.

The head coach of the Hungarian women's national team got her first opportunity to play abroad at the age of 18 and although she retired early, she didn’t distance herself from the football pitch. Following success as a coach in Switzerland, she returned home and was soon appointed head coach of Hungary Women in time for the European Championship qualifiers.
