Rossi: We could have won by more

Hungary head coach Marco Rossi has reflected upon his team's 2-1 victory away against Azerbaijan on Tuesday evening, stating the past two matches have been useful and that his players need to improve their conversion of chances created.
Hungary dominated most of the match against Azerbaijan, having more possession of the ball, and attempting more shots than their hosts, against whom our match record still remains flawless.
"Whether we win or lose a match often depends on the level of the opponent. All credit goes to Azerbaijan, because we're talking about a strong team, even if they're not quite at the same level as Turkey or Sweden. When we've played against a team ranked lower than us on paper, we've almost always won or at least drawn. This match was one which we could have easily won by a larger margin, but despite the many chances, we didn't take advantage of them and then became a bit less structured in the last ten minutes. We need to improve on this and learn from this match, as well as from the fact that we took too many risks at the end. We were able to play the ball faster in the first half, but there was less pressure on us at that point. We need to be more patient; we were good in possession, we created numerous good chances, but taking advantage of the opportunities has been a problem for some time. In almost every match, we have opportunities that we don't take advantage of. We were able to win now, but if you don't take advantage of your four or five opportunities against a top team, you'll lose the match," said Marco Rossi after the final whistle in Baku.
