Rossi: I'm happy we've kept another clean sheet

Following the 1-0 defeat of Slovenia, Hungary Men played a 0-0 draw against their Greek counterparts in the Puskás Aréna on Tuesday evening. Afterwards, Marco Rossi was quick to highlight his team's defensive performance:

"In these two matches, improving our defence was the main focus and our stated goal was to not concede a goal in either of our two matches," Rossi explained. "Defending is a collective task, so in order to improve, we paid more attention to the cooperation and teamwork of our defenders. Accordingly, I am very happy that we've reached this point without conceding a goal against either Slovenia or Greece. Congratulations to the players; their attitude was commendable and tonight this helped us deny an excellent opponent any goals. We had some great chances, but this time we couldn't take advantage of them, which I regret, but sooner or later this trend will change. I'm satisfied with our performance, but not with the result, because we always want to win. I'd also like to say I'm happy that our debutnats were able to contribute a lot to the team's performance. The role of the starting eleven is important, but perhaps the substitutions are even more important, so we need to see what we can expect from the players sitting on the bench. I'd like to highlight that Donát Bárány came on and played well again, but unfortunately he got a kick on his ankle, which is why we were forced to substitute him. Until then, though, he ran a lot, put in a lot of effort, and proved that he can be a viable alternative behind Barnabás Varga in the future."
