FIFA rankings: Hungary still in 37th place
The Hungarian men's national team remains in 37th place in the FIFA world rankings at the end of May.
Belgium still lead the rankings ahead of world champions France and Brazil. Hungary's European Championship rivals France, Portugal (5th) and Germany (12th) are also among the world's best, as are England (4th) and Poland (21st), who are in Hungary's group for the European qualifiers ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Of their other World Cup qualifying rivals, Albania are 66th, Andorra 158th and San Marino 210th. Before the European Championship, Marco Rossi's team will face Cyprus (97th) on 4th June and Ireland (47th) on 8th June.
Of the national teams taking part in this summer's European Championship, Hungary are ranked higher than Russia, Czech Republic, Scotland, Finland and North Macedonia.
