Fradi to play Slovenian champions for Champions League spot
After success in their first qualifier, Balázs Dornyai's FTC-Telekom team now have only one more obstacle between them and the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage, Friday's draw pitting them against Slovenian champions Pomurje.
A resounding 6-1 victory against Luxembourg's champion Racing FC Union means Radi can now take on Slovenia's best club as they aim to complete their journey to the Champions League group stage. Twenty teams progressed from the first qualifying round, and FTC-Telekom were among the top 10 seeds, so it was already known before the draw that Hungary's best would face either Pomurje or Benfica of Portugal in the second round.
In Friday's draw, it was also confirmed Fradi will play away gainst Pomurje in Slovenia on November 18 or 19 in this single, knockout match. The exact kick-off date and time will be announced on Monday 9th November.
