Men's national team in 52nd spot in latest world rankings
World football's governing body, FIFA, has announced the latest national-team world rankings, which place Hungary two places further back than their previous position.
Marco Rossi's team are now ranked as the third strongest of the four countries in their section of March 2020's Nations League play-offs. Bulgaria have improved two places to 61st position, Romania have fallen back eight places to 37th while Iceland are in 39th spot.
The first five places in the FIFA rankings haven't changed, Belgium leading France, Brazil, England and Uruguay in descending order. Meanwhile, in the women's rankings, the last list published on 27th September sees Hungary ranked 44th.
