UEFA in new talks with member nations
Together with its 55 member countries, European football's governing body established two working groups in mid-March following the suspension of its international competitions and of nearly every one of the continent's national leagues, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. A number of options to continue or conclude competitions were discussed, which will be detailed by UEFA at a later date.
The body has strongly recommended that each national championship is ended at its current point, but it's possible that there will be countries where this will not be viable. The conditions which will apply to the conclusion of championships will be discussed by the UEFA Executive Committee on Thursday.
Meanwhile, future support for national associations will continue through UEFA's HatTrick programme and the usual financial channels.
