Watch the Euro matches and relax in the fan zone!
Between 11th June and 11th July, everything will be about football as Budapest hosts four matches of the European Championship, a tournament being simultaneously held in 11 cities across Europe.
In addition to exciting matches, the Hungarian capital of Budapest will also provide uplifting moments through its free-to-attend fan zone for duration of the event. The venue, designed in accordance to current health regulations and strict protective measures set by the Operational Authority, is located at one of Budapest's favourite meeting points, the ice rink in the City Park (Városliget), just one-and-a-half kilometres from the Puskás Arena, where four of the matches will be played.
The venue will open at 11am and close one hour after the end of each day's last match - or at 10pm on non-matchdays - for 31 consecutive days. Fans will be able to follow the matches on four giant projectors located in the spacious, 10,000 square-metre outdoor area and take advantage of onsite food and beverage services, as well as participate in skill-based obstacle courses, teqball, football-based activities, photo corners, sweepstakes and many other entertainment programmes regardless of age or gender.
On matchdays, Nemzeti Sport journalists will talk to football experts and celebrities on stage, e-sportsmen and women will play matches on the PES 2021 football game, Radio 1 DJs will play music, and freestyle football demonstrations and onsite games will entertain the audiences.
The four matches hosted by Budapest as part of the 16th UEFA European Championship are important events in the relaunch of the country following a difficult period for us all, and will become historic moments for Hungary and for Budapest, this being the first time ever that Hungarians have the chance to cheer on their national football team in their national stadium in a major tournament.
The aim of the fan zone is to allow families, friends and other interested parties to support the Hungarian national team together, and to be a safe meeting- and resting place for everyone who would like to enjoy the beauty of Budapest and the Városliget.
During the tournament, the organisers will publish the latest fan zone-related information, content and detailed schedules of programmes on the Puskás Arena Facebook page.
