Fradi exit Champions League in qualifying stages

Ferencváros will continue their 2023/24 European campaign in the Conference League after a surprise 3-0 home defeat at the hands of KÍ Klaksvík.
The reigning Hungarian champions had earned what had seemed to be a creditable goalless draw in the first leg in the Faroe Islands a week earlier, but they found themselves three goals down at half-time in the second leg in the Groupama Stadion in Budapest, partly due to defensive errors but also brave attacking play from the visitors.
Half-time changes made a difference but it wasn't stark enough an improvement to recover any of the deficit, thus Fradi will now move into the Conference League, Europe's third-highest ranked club competition where they will face Shamrocks Rovers next. That will be under the guidance of a new head coach though, Stanislav Cherchesov being dismissed immediately after this disappointing loss.
