Hangya back in Rossi's thinking

Marco Rossi stated at November's first press conference of the national team at the new Puskás Arena that he'd previously received an answer from Hangya which made it difficult for him to imagine the former Vasas defender being invited into the national-team set-up in the future.

However, the Italian coach and the player met in Spain after the latter's training session with Fehérvár on Wednesday, where they discussed the situation and revealed it was a misunderstanding.

"I always state my honest opinion and that's what happened in this case too," Rossi told mlsz.hu. "Now, however, I have personally clarified with Szilveszter that we have misunderstood each other, which is why this is now a situation which we have discussed and closed. This also means that if Szilveszter performs well for his club, I will take him into consideration again when selecting the national team squads of the future".

Marco Rossi will be watching the Mol Fehérvár FC training match on Thursday and the Puskás Academy FC training match on Friday, and also plans to visit Ferencváros' camp, although the time and venue are still under discussion.

"It's important that during this 'pre-season', the players and clubs, know and feel that we are supporting and monitoring them so that we can develop as improved a relationship with the club's backroom staff as possible. This is primarily the purpose of my visit to Spain, and of course to see in person the current form of the national team players at this early stage", added Marco Rossi.

Following the training session, Hungary's head coach also talked to MOL Fehérvár FC head coach Joan Carrillo about technical questions which affect the national team and the Fehérvár club.
