Hungary to close Pinatar Cup against Scotland

Margret Kratz's squad will face Scotland in La Manga at 8pm CET on Tuesday evening.

Hungary have enjoyed a successful warm-up tournament in Spain so far, first earning a 2-2 draw against Russia (but falling short on penalties, which meant entrance into the lower section of the draw), then defeating Poland 2-1. This means Hungary will contest fifth place in the tournament with Scotland on Tuesday evening.

The Hungarian and Scottish women's national teams have met three times so far, and all three times the latter has prevailed. In September 2017, we lost 3–0 in Telki, and last year the two teams played each other home and away in the current World Cup qualifying campaign, Scotland winning 2–0 in Budapest and 2–1 in Glasgow. In the latter fixture, our goal was scored by Fanni Vágó.

So far in the Pinatar Cup, Scotland have lost 3-1 to Wales and defeated Slovakia 2-0.
