Marco Rossi: Life is better in a national-team shirt

After Saturday's 1-1 Nations League draw against Germany, Sunday for the Hungarian men's national team was all about regeneration, before they set off after their Monday morning training session for Wolverhampton, the venue for tomorrow's match against England.

The players didn't train at the stadium, but instead took a walk around the Molineux Stadium while head coach Marco Rossi and midfielder Ádám Nagy attended the pre-match press conference.

"We are in the middle of playing four matches in ten days, which players aren't even used to at the club level. Our fourth game will be difficult because we don’t have too many opportunities to rotate the team, but when the players represent their home country, life doesn't seem difficult. There are a lot of young people in our squad who aren’t ready to dominate a match like this yet. They need time, and we want to give them time, and we expect them to be with us in the long run because they all work hard. We have a special match against England today and I'm glad we'll have the opportunity to compete again with one of the best national teams in the world," Rossi explained.

Ádám Nagy, who previously played his club football in England, expects the home team to start quickly in order to take control of the match after defeat in Budapest and two subsequent draws.

"We expect England to put us under a lot of pressure." Nagy told the listening journalists. "We need to defend well and be organized, like previous matches. It will be our fourth match in a short period, but it gives us strength that we'll have an entire country behind us. Three matches have already passed so we have seen what we still need to improve, and based on our experience so far, we will do everything we can to correct the mistakes. There are intense matches in our legs and for a good few players this will be their fourth match in ten days, but it's an inspiration to us that the whole country is behind us and cheering for us".
