Route to the Champions League final in Budapest: quarter-final draw made

Nyon was the venue as UEFA conducted the draw for the Women's Champions League quarter-finals, the highlight of which will be a tie between Hungarian international striker Zsanett Jakabfi's Wolfsburg side and title-holders Lyon whose lineup features Budapest-born superstar Dzsenifer Marozsán.

There are only eight teams who retain hopes of stepping out onto the Groupama Aréna turf on 18th May for the UEFA Women's Champions League final and their route to the last challenge has become clearer with the quarter-final and semi-final draws in Nyon last week.

Zsanett Jakabfi's Wolfsburg had the bad luck to be drawn against the title-holders and competition winners for the last three seasons, Lyon, who can boast in their ranks the ethnic Hungarian striker Dzsenifer Marozsán who plays at international level for her adopted country Germany.

Elsewhere, Sparta Prague of Czech Republic - victors over MTK Hungária earlier in the competition - will face Bayern Munich of Germany; Barceloba of Spain gave been pitted agaibst Kvinner of Norway and England's Chelsea will take on France's PSG. The first legs will be played on 20th or 21st March with the second legs due to take place a week later on 27th or 28th March 2018.

Semi-final draw

Lyon/Wolfsburg - Chelsea/Paris SG
Slavia/Bayern - Barcelona/LSK

The first legs of the semi-finals are scheduled for 20th or 21st April with the treturn legs due to be held one week later on 27th or 28th April. The final in Budapest will be played on 18th May.
