Sándor Csányi welcomes FIFA President to Budapest
Gianni Infantino is in Hungary's capital city in order to attend the 83rd International Sports Journalists' Association Congress and he took the chance to visit MLSZ President Sándor Csányi while he is here.
The informal, one-and-a-half-hour meeting featured discussion of the need to protect young players, transfer rules, the importance of transparency, regulations regarding agents and other themes surrounding club- and international football.
Mr Csányi called for a reasonable review of the FIFA rules on international eligibility and requested that the FIFA licences required for the introduction of the video assistant referee system in Hungary be issued as soon as possible.
Due to time constraints, the FIFA president did not have the opportunity to visit the Puskás Arena but he promised to return to our country and visit our new national stadium by June at the latest, during the time of the UEFA European Championship.
