Navarro Catalina, Head of Commercial Operations
Christopher Gibbons, Head of Event Operations

The Uefa delegation was received by Deputy Mayor of Budapest Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky; KKBK Project Director Barnabás Szigethy; Colonel Tibor Lakatos on behalf of the police; Euro 2020 Project Director Vilmos Szabó, and Deputy President and Euro 20200 Committee President Sándor Berzi on behalf of the Hungarian Football Federation.
During their visit, the UEFA leaders agreed upon the host city tasks with the deputy mayor, and made a visit to the Fan Village venue – Hősök Tere (Heroes Square) Olof Palme sétány – as well as the Puskás Aréna construction site, where besides a stadium tour they also received detailed information on the future stadium facilities. The new Puskás Aréna will have a capacity of 67,000 and will play host to three group-stage matches and one last-sixteen fixture, whilst in and around Hősök tere, some 40,000 fans will be able to take in all the action of Euro 2020.
The members of the UEFA delegation were extremely satisfied with the preparations for what will be the largest sporting event to be held in the city of Budapest and said they had received answers to all of their questions during their visit. Preparations in Budapest for next summer’s European Championship are, according to Uefa, running on schedule.
