Women's Nations League: Hungary to face Belarus first

Hungary Women will play their first match in the 2025 Nations League against Belarus in Serbia on 21st February before hosting Finland four days later in the Új Hidegkuti Nándor Stadion in Budapest.
Hungary's women's national squad will start their preparations for this double-header at the national-team training centre in Telki on 17th February before travelling to take on Belarus in Loznica, Serbia at 8pm CET on 21st February (due to UEFA ruling that Belarus can't currently play international matches at home, their matches are hosted by neutral countries, in this case, Serbia). Head coach Alexandra Szarvas will then return home with her squad in time to welcome Finland to the Új Hidegkuti Nándor Stadion, home of MTK, at 6pm CET on 25th February.
Of the squad members selected for the two matches, Lauren Brzykcy and Diána Csányi have both recently changed clubs, goalkeeper Brzykcy moving from one Swedish club, Vittsjö GIK, to another in Pitea IF, which is currently four places higher in the table, while Csányi has returned from Switzerland to her former team, MTK, who are currently fourth in the Simple Women's League.
"There are one or two changes in the squad, because there are returnees who were unable to participate in the training camp in Malta for various reasons, but there are also players who've now left the team after a long time," Szarvas told www.mlsz.hu. "The national team's doors are open to everyone. I have said many times that consistently hard work and the right mentality are the basis of everything. We have two tough games ahead of us in order to preserve our B-League membership, which is a clear goal of ours, so we need to score points in these two games. We'd definitely like the work we have put in so far to finally show up in results."
If Hungary finish first in League B, they'd be promoted to League A, while a second-placed finish in the group would see the team fight for promotion in a play-off against a third-placed team from League A. The two worst-performing third-placed teams from the League B groups and all fourth-placed teams will be relegated to League C.
M4 Sport will broadcast both clashes live and tickets for the match against Finland can be purchased on the meccsjegy.mlsz.hu page at a cost of 1,500 HUF each.
