Women's Simple Liga: A strong start from Fradi and MTK defeat DVTK

In the first round of the Women's Simple Liga, MTK made light of an immediate trip to Miskolc by returning home with all three points. Elsewhere, Astra and Haladás-Viktória both scored four goals over the weekend, the difference being that Astra also conceded two in Győr but Kelen were unable to score in Szombathely. In the fourth and final match of the first round, FTC-Telekom defeated KÉSZ-St. Mihály.


FTC Telekom 7-1 KÉSZ-St. Mihály FC (HT: 2–1)

FTC's summer signing Kinga Siklér opened her league goalscoring account for her new club as early as the third minute, having already struck several times in pre-season. The striker who arrived from Haladás-Viktorija doubled her tally in the 36th minute but. St. Michael halved the deficit before the half-time break, Hanna Kiss-Lantos, who was celebrating her 16th birthday, finding the net in added time.

Fradi dominated the second half though, firstly Fanni Vágó in the 67th minute, then Sára Pusztai (73'), Evelin Mosdóczi (an 80th-minute penalty), Dorottya Czellér (87') and Viktória Nagy (90') all adding their names to the scoresheet.


Progress-Victoria 4–0 Kelen SC (2–0)

Two goals in each half - this was Tünde Szil's tally in the first round of the Women's Simple Liga. The attacking player, signed from Szent Mihály, scored first in the 16th and 28th minutes, then after the break in the 71st and 84th minutes, her four goals ensuring that the three points went to the Szombathely club.


ETO FC Győr 2–4 Astra-ALEF HFC (0–1)

Astra also notched four goals in the first round, Lilla Sipos opening the scoring in the 40th minute, before Dominika Dikanová (52') and summer arrival Zsófia Rácz (62') also hit the net, the latter from a penalty. The hosts hit back through Tímea Feketevízi in the 66th minute but Nóra Vicsek re-established Astra's three-goal advantage in the 83rd minute. The last word came from ETO, Viktória Bódai scoring a consolation goal in the 93rd minute, but the points belonged to the visitors.

DVTK 0–2 MTK Hungária FC (0–1)

The big match of the round came on Sunday in Miskolc where another new signing, Fanni Diószegi, was the heroine. The striker, who moved from Ferencváros to their big rival MTK, put her new club ahead in the 15th minute and doubled the lead the 46th minute, thus ensuring the Blue and Whites start the season with an important away victory.
