Berettyóújfalu bow out of Futsal Champions League

For Berettyóújfalu, the round of 16 was the stage at which the club bade farewell to this season's futsal Champions League after a 5-0 defeat away at Benfica on Saturday.
Benfica (POR) 5–0 Mezei-Vill FC Berettyóújfalu (HT: 2–0)
Berettyóújfalu had won 4–3 at the home of Tbilisi State University in Georgia in the first round back in November, and then 2-0 away against Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus to set up a last-sixteen clash with Portuguese giants Benfica. Their Iberian opponents were a tough opponent though and went two goals up within six minutes.
Hungary's reigning champions settled down thereafter and there was no further change to the scoreline before half-time, but after the break, Benfica extended its advantage, ultimately winning 5-0 to confidently reach the quarter-finals, which will be held in Minsk from 28 April to 3 May.
