Ferencváros share six goals in Norway

Ferencváros play out a 3-3 draw at the home of Norwegian club Molde FK in the first leg of the UEFA European Champions League play-off on Wednesday night.

Champions League Qualifying play-off first leg:

Molde FK (Norway) 3-3 Ferencvárosi TC (HT: 0-1)

Goalscorers: MLD: James (55), Eikrem (65), Ellingsen (83) FTC: Boli (7), Uzuni (52), Haratin (87, pen)
Molde: Linde - Wingo, Gregersen, Ellingsen, Haugen - Aursnes, Hussain - E. Hestad, Eikrem (Omoijuanfo, 81), Knudtzon (Brynhildsen, 57) - James (Bolly, 89)
Ferencváros: Dibusz - Botka, Frimpong, Blazic, Civic - Laidouni, Haratin, Somalia (Sigér, 70) - Nguen (Isael, 88), Boli (Zubkov, 72), Uzuni

Just as in the matches against Celtic FC and Dinamo Zagreb, Ferencváros raced out of the blocks and took an early lead, Franck Boli converting Endre Botka's low pass from the right in the seventh minute.

Thereafter, the hosts took control of the contest on their artificial turf pitch, earning more possession of the ball and creating several openings. Molde played more and more aggressive attacking football, but they couldn't transfer this superiority into an equaliser and instead it was the visitors who doubled their advantage seven minutes after the half-time break, Botka again the provider, this time for Myrto Uzuni who made no mistake with his finish.

That was the catalyst for Molde to finally find their feet in front of goal, pulling one goal back from a 55th-minute corner and then equalising ten minutes later. Ferencváros couldn't halt the momentum of pressure built up by its constantly-attacking opponent, and seemed to have been condemned to defeat by Martin Ellingsen's 83rd-minute strike, but Serhiy Rebrov's team rallied and earned a penalty three minutes before the end of normal time, which Igor Kharatin dispatched to secure a 3-3 draw away from from home.

The second leg will be held at 21:00 CET next Tuesday at the Groupama Arena, the winner progressing to the group stage of the Champions League and the loser moving into the group stage of the Europa League.
