Dates of UEFA U21 Euros to change too

As a result of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, the dates of more UEFA tournaments scheduled for 2020 and 2021 may change in addition to the already-postponed UEFA European Championship. Next year, Hungary and Slovenia are due to jointly host the European Men's U21 Championship, but this is expected to change because the senior European Championship tournament is now set for June 2021.

UEFA recently announced its new plans to host the European Men's Championships next summer in June 2021, but Hungary is also involved in another large-scale event during this period as the country prepares to jointly host the U21 European Championship, which will be held in Budapest's Bozsik Stadion, as well as Győr, Székesfehérvár and Szombathely.

Now, according to information received from UEFA, the U21 European Championship is not expected to take place in June, a proposal for the exact new date due to follow depending on developments. Naturally, UEFA wants to find the best possible time for its second most prestigious men's national team in the 2021 competition calendar. Hungary's team led by head coach Zoltán Gera will definitely be a participating nation at the U21 Euro given its status as joint hosts.
