Deschamps: Their fans can help Hungary a lot

The Hungarian national team held the draw for 84 minutes in the opening match against the Portuguese in the Puskás Arena, but in the end it was left without a point, after the visitors scored three goals in the final ten minutes to win 3-0.

Hungary's next opponent, the French national team, negotiated their first hurdle with success, overcoming Germany by a single goal in Munich. The visitors held their official pre-match press conference on Friday and they repeatedly emphasised that they could not take the match in Budapest lightly.

“The presence of the fans can mean a lot to the home team,” Didiser Deschamps said. “Remember, with their fans' help, they held out until the 85th minute and even scored the first goal, albeit it was eventually disallowed. The fact that an Italian coach sits on their bench also tells a lot about the style. We want to keep our attankcing game constantly updated: we’re trying to perfect new positions and tactics, but I’m sure our opponent is also constantly updating too. The Hungarian national team is very good at set-pieces. We want to stay firm in the back, and of course a lot depends on the style of the opponent too".
