EURO 2020: New one-million ticket application phase to start
Supporters of the 20 national teams so far confirmed to be contesting the UEFA 2020 European Championship will be able to buy tickets on www.EURO2020.com from 14:00 CET on Wednesday 4th December 2019.
Fans will have until 14:00 CET on 18th December to apply for tickets to the tournament which will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the UEFA European Championship. The final of the tournament will be held at London's Wembley Stadium, possibly the most famous football pitch in football.
Fans of four qualifiers from the European Championship play-offs can apply for tickets shortly after the play-off finals end on 31st March. Theplay-off semi-finals take place five days earlier on 26th March 2020. This will affect fans of the Hungarian national team because if our national team wins two matches in March (on the 26th against Bulgaria and then in Budapest on 31st March against the winner of Iceland-Romania), more Hungarian fans will surely be interested in watching matches live.
The next ticket application phase follows this summer's hugely successful public ticket application phase, in which, between 12th June and 12th July 2019, 19.3 million requests were registered for the 1.5 million tickets available at that time. Ticket prices for group matches in Baku, Budapest and Bucharest start at €30 and at €50 for fixtures in the other host cities.
UEFA EURO 2020 is the largest UEFA European Championship of all time, offering a total of three million tickets, 82% of which will go directly to fans.
'Follow My Team' tickets
In addition to tickets for group matches, fans can claim a "Follow My Team" ticket - these are conditional tickets that allow fans to follow their team to all their matches in the group and straight-knockout stages, regardless of location. If their national team is eliminated before the final, those fans will be refunded the ticket prices ofthe matches they will therefore not see.
For all matches where demand exceeds supply, tickets shall be distributed in accordance with the procedures laid down by the respective football federations. All fans will be notified of the outcome of their ticket application by the end of January 2020.
Fans First Ticket Initiative
As part of the Fans First ticket initiative launched in May 2019, fans of the tournament will be able to claim tickets for the semi-finals and finals at Wembley Stadium in London, which cost between €85 and €95. Fans First tickets are conditional tickets, which means that if a fan's national team is knocked out before the semi-final or final, the fan will receive a refund of the ticket's price.
Fans who do not match up to their national federation's conditions or simply do not want to follow any of the teams may also apply for a ticket through the draw at EURO2020.com/tickets from 14.00 CET on December 4th 2019.
In order to maintain the Fans First programme, fans who are unsuccessful now will have a further chance to buy tickets in the future (specifically in the case of unsuccessful payments or refunds), depending on where in line people finished in the random draw of successful ticket applications.
Wheelchair-accessible tickets for those fans who require such positions will be sold at the same price as the lowest category-3 tickets, regardless of the seating location.
