European draws: Fradi to host Dinamo Zagreb again
The draw for the third qualifying round of the Champions League and the second qualifying round for the Europa League has resulted in another Hungary-Sweden clash and a return to Budapest for Croatia's domestic champions.
Ferencváros, as in the first two draws, were again bereft of luck and managed to draw the strongest possible rival, this time a visit from Dinamo Zagreb. The two teams also met in the Champions League qualifying stages last season when they played out a draw in Zagreb before Dinamo eased to a win in Budapest and later reached the group stages of European club football's premier competition, while also retaining the Croatian league title.
In the Europa League second qualifying round draw, MOL Fehérvár FC have been pitted against Maltese club Hibernians while Budapest Honvéd will welcome Sweden's Malmö, a team which relied only on Scandinavian players to defeat Polish club Cracovia in the first qualifying round. This will be the third Hungarian-Swedish clash on the European stage in the last two weeks after Hammarby's defeat of Puskás Akadémia and Ferencváros' victory over Djurgardens.
