Fradi and CSKA Moscow play out goalless Europa League draw
Thursday's stalemate in the Groupama Aréna means that with two Europa League group fixtures left, Ferencváros lie in third place with five points, one behind Ludogorets who lost heavily to group leaders Espanyol.
Serhiy Rebrov's team had scored a late winner in Moscow two weeks ago but they couldn't repeat the feat at home last Thursday, despite visiting second-half substitute Kirill Nababkin's added-time red card belatedly reducing CSKA to ten men.
Frank Boli came closest to the opening goal in the first half but headed wide just before the break and Miha Blažič spurned an even better opportunity just after the half mark when he failed to convert a rebound from a free-kick just five metres from goal. Fradi were good value for their point though and retain hope of qualification for the knockout stages ahead of their potentially-decisive final matches at home to Espanyol at the end of November and then the sixth-matchday clash away at second-placed Ludogorets early next month.
This will be their fourth contest against the Bulgarian club this season, having beaten them twice in UEFA Champions' League qualifying before a surprise home defeat in this Europa League group in early October.
