Fradi and Puskás Akadémia continue in Europe

Ferencváros cruised into the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League after a second victory against KF Pristina in the space of a week. Puskás Akadémia also progressed in the European Conference League but MOL Fehérvár have fallen at the first hurdle.

Ferencváros head coach Peter Stöger had said before the match that he'd play his strongest team and it was just as well he did, the hosts starting at a furious pace, creating an excellent early chance and only being denied the game's opening goal due to an offside flag.

The Kosovan champions couldn't find a way through though and Ferencváros soon settled, creating numerous opportunities without quite showing the requisite cutting edge.  That all changed in the 49th minute though, Tokmac Nguen setting up Myrto Uzuni for a lead they held until the 67th minute when substitute Mendurim Hoti equalised for Prishtina following a corner. Stöger's side were not to be denied their win though, Uzuni converting twice in the final ten minutes to complete his hat-trick and secure a 6-1 aggregate victory for Fradi, who will play Lithuanian club Zalgiris.

Elsewhere, Puskás Akadémia eased into the next round of the Europa Conference League with a 2-0 home triumph against Inter Turku of Finland, thus earning a 3-1 aggregate victory. They'll now play FK Rigas of Latvia but they won't be joined at that stage of the competition by MOL Fehérvár, their compatriots crashing out 2-1 on aggregate after a single-goal, second-leg loss away against Arafat Yerevan of Armenia.
