Fradi and Üjpest win but Puskás Akadémia falter

Budapest's biggest city rivals both won in Europe this week, but Puskás Akadémia face an uphill task after suffering a three-goal defeat in Latvia
Ferencváros continued their excellent UEFA Champions League qualifying-round form this season with a third consecutive win, this time in their second-round, first leg against Lithuanian side Zalgiris in the Groupama Aréna in Budapest, courtesy of first-half goals from Myrto Uzuni and Tokmac Nguen.
In the European Conference League, last season's MOL Hungarian Cup winners Újpest FC earned a 2-1 advantage after their second-round first-leg match at home against Vaduz of Liechtenstein, Zoltán Stieber handing the hosts an early advantage which Tallo double just after the hour mark, only for the visitors to halve the deficit through Cicek with nine minutes remaining.
Újpest therefore have real hope of making it through to the next round after next week's second leg, but Puskás Akadémia won't be quite as positive, three first-half concessions resulting in a 3-0 away defeat against FK Rigas and giving the Felcsút club a mountain to climb at home next Thursday.
