Honvéd pin hopes on Horváth
Budapest Honvéd have replaced head coach István Pisont with former Hungarian international striker Ferenc Horváth, the capital-city club announced on Monday.
Pisont, himself a former Hungarian international winger, led Honvéd to Hungarian Cup glory in an interim capacity last season and took over again in December after Tamás Bódog was sacked.
A 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Budafok though saw Honvéd slip into the Hungarian top flight's relegation zone last weekend and that was enough for the club's management to seek a change of fortune under former Videoton and Diósgyőr head coach Horváth, who, in his 19-year career as a striker, scored 11 goals in 32 games for the Hungarian national team.
