Kaposvár and Debrecen to begin at home in Merkantil Liga
The fixture list for the first matchday of the 2020/21 Merkantil Liga season has been published. Twenty teams will participate in Hungary's second tier in the men's game this coming campaign, which is scheduled to finish by May 16th 2021.
Kaposvár will host Nyíregyháza and Debrecen will entertain Budaörs in the opening round of the Merkantil Bank Liga on the weekend of 2nd August. Of the newly-promoted sides, DEAC will travel to Soroksár, Szentlőrinc will be hosted by Szolnok and PMFC will restart life in the second tier by welcoming Dorog to Pécs.
The autumn season ends on the 13th December with the 21st round and the spring season gets underway after the winter break on 31st January. DEAC will play its home matches at the Nagyerdei Stadium until the inauguration of its own stadium, while Szentlőrinc's 'home pitch' will be in Kozármisleny or Kaposvár.
The 2020-2021 Merkantil Bank Liga season is scheduled to run until 16th May 2021.
