Tokmac brace helps Fradi see off Djurgardens
A goal in each half from South Sudan striker Nguen Tokmac saw Ferencváros ease past their Swedish opponents 2-0 in tonight's UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round and set up a mouthwatering away match against Scotland's Glasgow Celtic in the next round next week.
With the exception of a dangerous, curling free-kick from Isael, neither team was able to create a clear goalscoring opportunity in the first half an hour. However, that changed in the 33rd minute, when Tokmac Nguen regained possession in the Swedish team's half and shot low into the bottom-left corner of the net from a good 25 metres out.
Neither side threatened again before the half-time break but Ferencváros settled for a counterattacking strategy in the second half and that soon paid dividents as Nguen burst on to a through ball and neatly guided the ball past Djurgardens' goalkeeper in the 62nd minute.
Michal Skvarka, a substitute for Tokmac, could have made ultimate success even more certain, but he missed two freat chances before Roland Varga also passed up an opportunity to score a late goal. The Green Eagles now progressto the third ualifying round where they'll travel to Scotland to face Glasgow Celtic next Wednesday.
