"I think that just three weeks after the most recent matches, there's no reason to make many changes to the squad, especially given we've played well in the matches thus far," Marco Rossi told mlsz.hu about his selection criteria. "Of course, we've not only been watching the two newcomers over the last three weeks, but for quite some time, so we know they're performing well for their clubs, and, furthermore, we need to find more options in the forward line if replacements are necessary." Hungary will play against Armenia in the capital city of Yerevan on 13th November before then hosting Ireland at the Puskás Arena three days later.

"As I said before after the match against Portugal, the most important thing is that we play well and continuously improve, but now it is the result which is of paramount importance", Rossi continued. "In Armenia, we have to do everything to win and only then will the situation ahead of the last match become clear, but we definitely want to win against Republic of Ireland at home too.  Armenia played well against Republic of Ireland and, in Dublin, the latter were only able to win after Armenia had a player sent off, in the same way we were at a man disadvantage there too. It's always difficult to play in that situation, but they only conceded one goal, which shows Armenia's defensive strength. There could be everything to play for in the last World Cup qualifier versus Republic of Ireland. We're also aware that if Portugal and we both win our first matches in November, we'll have secured second place in the group, but in this case, we'd still also like to win our last match of the year in front of our fans. We know the difficulties that our opponents can cause us, so we want to prepare for them as much as possible and emerge victorious after these two challenges."

Hungary's national-team members will start their preparation in Telki on Monday 10th November before lining up in Armenia on 13th November and hosting Republic of Ireland in the Puskás Aréna three days later. The main sponsor of the Hungarian men's national team, WizzAir, will put on two flights to help Hungary's fans return home from Yerevan.
