Large screens will be erected at Hősök tere and nearby Olof Palme promenade for supporters to follow all the action of UEFA Euro 2020. The Fan Zone will offer a wide-range of entertaining programmes during the tournament, at the same location where UEFA Euro 2020 Budapest Ambassador Zoltán Gera celebrated with fans upon the Hungarian national team’s return from UEFA Euro 2016 in France.

The UEFA European Championship is celebrating its 60th birthday in 2020, and in a first, twelve countries are co-hosting this tournament which will feature four matches in Budapest.

Whilst matches are being played, those fans who don’t have tickets for the Puskás Ferenc Stadion will be able to enjoy the match atmosphere in the Fan Zone at Hősök tere (Heroes' Square), announced István Tarlós, Mayor of Budapest.

The Fan Zone will comprise two parts. The Football Village will be on Olof Palme promenade, whilst the Public Screening Area will be located at Hősök tere, where fans will be able to watch all the UEFA Euro 2020 action on multiple large screens as well be entertained by supporter activities, sporting- and diverse community programmes. The Fan Zone will have a capacity of around 40,000.

The Football Village will also be offering colourful programmes, sporting opportunities and merchandising stalls for fans during the tournament and will be open all day.

Supporters will also be able to enjoy concerts in the Fan Zone, and there will also be a kiss-cam, dance-cam mini football, Teqball, table football, foot-tennis and an award for the Most Creative Supporter of the Day.

There are also plans for a VIP Zone nearby, which would ensure high-quality entertainment for the UEFA family, main partners, and their guests.
