FIFA Rankings: Hungary's men finish year in top 40
In the latest FIFA world rankings released on Thursday, the Hungarian men's national team has retained 40th position, thus ensuring an improvement of 12 places over the course of 2020.
Our men’s full national team was ranked 47th in October's FIFA world rankings but thanks to great results in November, it improved by seven more positions to reach a high of 40th last month, a place it has retained in this year's final monthly rankings list.
Belgium closes 2020 at the top of the FIFA world rankings while Hungary is the national team to have improved its ranking most over the last twelve months, collecting a total of 44 ranking points and jumping 12 positions in eight matches. Our team’s record over the year is 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat, with European Championship qualification sealed, top spot in our League of Nations group earned and thus promotion to Division A secured.
