Four U21 players in Leeken's latest squad

Hungary men's head coach George Leekens has selected four players from the country's Under-21 ranks in his provisional squad for the forthcoming friendlies away against Belarus and at home to Australia. Barnabás Bese's injury sees the right-back miss out this time while those players playing in the American MLS league are absent due to club commitments.

Returning to the full national-team squad after periods away are Predrag Bosnjak, Zsolt Korcsmár, Krisztián Vadócz and Dominik Nagy. From the Under 21 squad come Dániel Gazdag, Kevin Varga, Dominik Szoboszlai and János Hegedűs.

"These are the players who will have already finished the season, who will start training together the day after they arrive and who will comprise the final squad", Leekens told www.mlsz.hu. "I'm very happy that we've been able to put together a squad which has a good mix of experience and the youngsters' fire. Unfortunately, our players who play in America can't join up with us this time and Barnabás Bese also misses out due to a minore injury. Two important matches await us in a short period of time and in that short period we must complete the final preparations for the Nations' League in September. During the course of these two matches now, we try out several things to see which ones can help us be successful in the new campaign in autumn. For now, we'll have a total of one full day to prepare for each match, which is not much but we'll be doing everything we can to show against Belarus and Australia the positive values of the national team and the potential within us", Hungary's head coach emphasised.

The squad members will arrive at Telki on 3rd June, from where they will start their journey to Brest where their match on 6th June will take place.
