Hungary Men report for duty injury-free
Our Hungarian men's national team has started preparations for its first two warm-up matches of the year against Turkey and Kosovo on Friday and next Tuesday. Fortunately, there were no injuries to report when the group gathered on Monday.
Although the full squad was only together in its entirety on Monday night, head coach Marco Rossi and his backroom staff held the first training session earlier that day on the centre pitch of the Telki national-team training centre, with the players who’d played league matches on Monday taking part in a regeneration session.
“I’m very happy to be with the team again after a year and a half away”, Zalán Vancsa told mlsz.hu. “My goal is to show what I know and what I’m capable of during the training sessions and the two warm-up matches”, Vancsa, who has been training with the U21 national team lately, explained.
Servette player Bendegúz Bolla, whose team is in second place in the Swiss championship and only because of inferior goal difference, has been in excellent form for his club recently, and he wants to replicate this form at international level too, if given the opportunity.
“It was a great honour for me to be in the squad at the last European Championship, despite the fact that I didn’t play. Even now, my primary goal is to be in the squad and to earn a place in the starting lineup. I’ll be counted on as a right or left winger for the next two warm-up matches. As Marco Rossi always says, there are no friendly matches for us, so we prepare very seriously for every match and this time will be no different. We know the next two friendly matches will also be considered warm-ups for the European Championship”, Bolla concluded.
The squad will train once on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before Friday’s match against Turkey in the Puskás Arena from 20:45 CET. All tickets for this match have already been sold, while the last available tickets for the match against Kosovo on 26th March are available on the meccsjegy.mlsz.hu website.
