Hungary Men's squad nearly all safely at Telki

The squad members who were already in place at the start of the week have undergone numerous physical tests so that the backroom staff can ascertain just how good their physical conditions are. It became clear that MOL Vidi defender Fiola still needs to reach peak fitness, so head coach Marco Rossi decided not to count on him for these June qualifiers.

"I've talked with Attila about the situation and he agreed with me that in all likelihood he wouldn't be able to help the team in the way he would like", Rossi told mlsz.hu. "Therefore, it was appropriate that we continue our preparations for the matches versus Azerbaijan and Wales without him".

There are question marks against Barnabás Bese's and Tamás Kádár's fitness but their minor injuries are being monitored in a group which is not contending with any other injuries.

This week, there'll be one training session per day as the squad builds up to two extremely difficult and important matches. The squad will train at Telki on Thursday morning before flying from Budapest to Baku, the venue for Saturday's UEFA EURO 2020 qualifier versus Azerbaijan.
