János Rábl is Hungarian futsal's player of the year
The culmination of the women's and men's futsal championships has been swiftly followed by the announcement of the player-of-the-season awards.
In attendance and presenting awards were the MLSZ Futsal Committee, the head of the Hungarian football federation and the head coaches of the men's and women's national teams. The best male player in the top division was János Rábl, who finished runner-up in the league and reached the cup final with MVFC Berettyóújfalu, while the best goalkeeper award went to Marcell Alasztics who played a prominent part in Haladas' league and cup-winning double.
The best coach accolade went to Haladás' Juanra, while Gergő Gémesi of Aramis scooped the discovery-of-the-season award, having already been considered for international selection with the Hungarian national team in springtime. The top goalscorer was Tamás Szentes-Bíró of Nyírbátor, while the best referee in the top tier was revealed to be Gábor Kovács.
Meanwhile, Debreceni EAC won the women's championship title and the Hungarian Cup this year. The women's individual awards went Viktória Horváth for best player, Lilla Torma for best goalkeeper and Vivien Quirikó for best head coach, while Csilla Krascsenics won the top goalscorer title.
