Leekens hosts NB I head coaches
Hungary's new head coach George Leekens met with his counterparts at Hungary's OTP Bank Liga's clubs on the first Thursday of this month with nearly every top-flight club represented.
Mr Leekens invited the head coaches of the country's leading clubs for an informal meeting to mark the end of the year. Three head coaches were unable to attend due to prior commitments but in the case of Paks, assistant coach Attila Tököli filled in as the club's representative. Also participating at the dinner was the Hungarian Football Federation's General Secretary, Dr Márton Vági. The meeting's friendly atmosphere was evident throughout the two hours and the national team's head coach himself professed his wish to meet with club head coaches regularly.
"As I've already mentioned, I would like it if we could all meet together regularly so that we can help each other with our work and the development of Hungarian football. I'm curious as to their opinions and their viewpoints because the clubs and the national team can strengthen and help each other", explained Mr Leekens.
