Marco Rossi: I've congratulated my players, because they deserved to win
Hungary's head coach was upbeat in the post-match press conference on Tuesday evening, having seen his side dominate Bosnia & Hercegovina without being able to find a winning goal. Still, the result earns Hungary their first poijnt of this Nations League group and consign the previous loss to Germany to the history books
"We won a lot of 50-50 challenges, held a lot of possession and showed our will to win in today's match," Rossi told the waiting media. "Our performance obviously depends on the level of the opponent and while we're at the same level as Bosnia & Herzegovina, we have to say Netherlands and Germany are in a different category. What we saw tonight was what we have seen from the Hungarian national team for several years. After the final whistle, I congratulated the guys for their attitude and their performance, because we deserved to win. Of course, we're not satisfied with the result and we should have done more with our finishes, even if in today's match the Bosnia goalkeeper was the best player on the pitch. I think when the players give it their all, the fans can be proud of them. Before the game, I didn't ask the team to win, because the result depends on many factors, but to leave the pitch with their heads held high, and that will continue to be our goal in this Nations League."
