Marco Rossi: We'd be in an unbelievable group!

If Marco Rossi's team can defeat Bulgaria in March and then the winner of the Iceland-Romania contest in the Puskas Arena, they would be placed in the European Championship Group F, where three truly world-class teams would be waiting for them.

"First of all, of course, we still have to reach the European Championship and we will make every effort to make that happen, even though it will very difficult," Marco Rossi told mlsz.hu. "It will not be an easy match against Bulgaria and even if we win that match we may have to play against a very strong Iceland, albeit at home. If we succeed in winning these two matches, we would be in an incredible group at the European Championship. I have said before that I have never had luck in draws and it has been proven today. This is clearly the hardest group to be drawn in; our three opponents are much stronger and were three of the four semi-finalists at the 2016 European Championship, the fourth of those - Wales - already having been an opponent of ours in the group-stage qualifiers. I don't want to look ahead that far now though, because we need to focus on the two games of the playoffs and make the best of them".
