New and old faces feature in Marco Rossi's latest squad
Hungary men's head coach Marco Rossi has called up a raft of uncapped players to his latest squad ahead of forthcoming matches against Turkey and Russia, a list which includes the likes of Adrián Szőke, Benjamin Babati, Tamás Cseri and András Schäfer, but there is no place for two regulars, Balázs Dzsudzsák who is currently without a club, and Tamás Kádár, who hasn't been able to display good form at his new club in China.
Rossi has named 25 players in his latest national-team squad to participate in the first two fixtures of the new Nations League campaign, versus Turkey away in Sivas on 3rd September and at home in the Puskás Aréna against Russia three days later.
UEFA have decreed that both matches should be played behind closed doors but even so, the Hungary team's leading administrative official Attila Tömő and the medical staff will ensure the whole delegation follows the strictest protocols and conditions as closely as possible during this current period of the pandemic. The MLSZ and UEFA are committed to taking every possible step to combat any spread of the virus.

Returnees to the squad after recent absences include attackers Nemanja Nikolic and Krisztián Simon, two of the 11 new players if Rossi's previous squad late last year is compared to this one. The Italian coach said: "There are many reasons for this (change in personnel), but primarily capabilities and form decide whom we call up. We've watch very many matches and it is our approach that on the basis of their performances, they all fully deserve their call-ups to the squad. As with every member, I expect them to show their best side while with the national team and to be brave and up for the battle".
The squad will gather on 30th August, not at the national-team training centre in Telki, but on Margit Island on the River Danube between Buda and Pest, before travelling to Turkey on the afternoon of 2nd September
