OTP Bank Liga: Bőde earns Rebrov first win as Fradi coach

Talismanic striker Dániel Böde's 91st-minute goal handed Sergey Rebrov three points in his first match as Ferencváros head coach against Mezőkövesd but a titantic struggle nearly saw two points droppedby the league leaders. Elsewhere, 2nd-placed Honvéd sent Debrecen packing without any points, a brace from Danilo and a late strike from debutant and former Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain forward David N'Gog doing the damage.

Mezőkövesd battled gamely throughout, despite rarely creating any danger near the visitors' goal. Ferencváros also struggled to create much although they dominated possession. It took substitute Bőde to convert a swift counter-attack in added time to maintain the club's unbeaten start to the OTP Liga season and give new head coach, former Tottenham Hotspur and Ukraine striker Sergey Rebrov his first maximum points haul in his first fixture since replacing predecessor Thomas Doll.

Elsewhere, Brazilian forward Danilo propelled Honvéd to victory against Debrecen but the headlines were grabbed by new signing David N Gog and his 87th-minute debut goal, the Frenchman having already proved the difference against the same opponents when he struck the winning goal in Liverpool's Champions' League victory against Debrecen in November 2009. Ten-man Paks overcame Puskás Akadémia at home, thanks in no small part to János Hahn's brace of goal - the latter coming in the 93rd minute to decide the match in his team's favour.

Newly-promoted Kisvárda had reason to cheer couresy of a point gained at home to Diósgyőr. Mihajlovic put the guests ahead just before half-time but Vári's 51st-minute penalty ensured the division's basement club gained only their second point of the season so far. The other club to have moved up to the top tier in the summer, MTK Budapest, continued their impressive start to the campaign with a 2-1 away success at Haladás, Schäfer and Gera with the goals which keep the capital-city club in 3rd position on 13 points, two behind Honvéd and a further point adrift of leaders Ferencváros.

The MOL Vidi - Újpest match was postponed due to the former's midweek European commitments; Vidi travel to Athens to face AEK on Tuesday in their UEFA Champions League play-off second leg trailing 2-1 from last week's first match in Hungary.
