Rossi planning tactical changes for Wales match

Hungary men's head coach emphasised during the pre-match press conference which precedes's tomorrow's EURO 2020 qualifer with Wales that they'll make certain tactical adjustments ahead of their second gae in four days.

Marco Rossi opened his pre-match press conference on Monday by confirming that his assistant Cosimo Inguscio will lead the team in his absence after Rossi incurred an automatic one-match ban for his dismissal against Azerbaijan in Saturday. Rossi also confirmed that neither Tamás Kádár nor Barnabàs Bese will be fit enough to start Tuesday's game.

"I'm planning to make changes to the starting team, but these will only be tactical, so it's not the case that I'm unhappy with the performances in Azerbaijan. The Welsh players are physically much stronger, better-conditioned footballers than the Azeris, and we have to react to this difference between the teams. Before each match, we select the starting team based on which one will believe will take the fight to the given opponent best", Rossi stated.

"We've tried to map out the strong and weak points of the Welsh, the latter of which we haven't seen much of in their previous games. There are many more strengths of theirs which I could list, for example, that they are able to create situations very quickly from balls played forward and that they have dynamic, physically and technically excellent players. Their midfielder, Daniel James, has quite an incredible ability to accelerate; it's almost as if I'm seeing Usain Bolt on the pitch. Certainly we won't be giving the Wales players lots of space, otherwise we'll be very busy", said Marco Rossi before adding: "In the case of Gareth Bale, you can't just not worry about him because he's returning from a longer injury, simply because he is a player who can decide a match if he plays well for just 30 seconds of a match.

Our goal is to maintain our advantage over Wales in the group. We shouldn't think about it any more than that, because a very important match awaits us, one in which we can only succeed if we play to the best of our abilities. We'd like to keep our dreams alive and stay in with a chance of qualifying for Euro 2020", Rossi concluded.

Meanwhile, forward Krisztián Németh, who attended the press conference, recalled that in the recent past, they'd managed to establish a community within the squad which had last happened with the team which headed into the 2016 European Championship in France.

"So far, we can see that we're able to implement the head coach's ideas and everything is turning out as we'd planned. We'd like to continue working together in a similarly successful way", the Sporting Kansas forward confirmed.
