Rossi to remain Hungary men's head coach
Media and supporter speculation as to whether or not national team head coach Marco Rossi will continue in his post after the European Championship has been rife recently, fans even staging several shows of their support. MLSZ president Sándor Csányi has consulted with Rossi in the past few days and assured him of the federation's unbroken confidence.
"The next task facing the Hungarian national team is to successfully compete in the Nations League this autumn and then the World Cup qualifying campaign, during which the team will continue to be managed by Marco Rossi with the maximum support of the MLSZ and the presidency," Csányi stated.
Marco Rossi in turn thanked everyone for their support and indicated that after reflecting on the lessons learned from the European Championship, he will start preparing for autumn's Nations League matches in a few weeks' time. "Our Euro campaign which concluded in Germany was marked by the disappointment we felt in failing to qualify, but nothing dramatic happened and there was no doubt we would continue our work together. We've had countless great results together, so clearly our goal is to achieve new ones - as our team motto goes: 'Only Together!' Rossi concluded.
