UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier against Croatia already sold out
Hungary will take on Croatia in front of a full house at the Groupama Aréna in their first home UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier on 24th March, all tickets having been sold by Tuesday morning.
Four days after going on sale, all the tickets have been snapped up for Hungary’s first home UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier against Croatia which kicks off at 18:00 on 24th March.
Tickets went on sale on February 15th, first for supporters' club members and with a 15% discount, and then from February 18th to the wider public. Supporter’s club members took advantage of the opportunity with close to 6,000 tickets being sold in the first three days (more than 90% of them being sold online via the meccsjegy.mlsz.hu webpage), before ticket sales were opened to non-supporter’s club members on Monday.
Season tickets for the home UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers were also on sale at a discounted price, and almost 6,000 were sold. More than 2,500 took up the opportunity to book their seat for all four home UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying fixtures by the day tickets went on general sale (again, supporter’s club members had priority), almost 90% of the season tickets being sold by the time individual match tickets went on sale on February 15th.
By Tuesday morning, all other remaining tickets were snapped up, meaning there will be a full house when Hungary take to the Groupama Aréna pitch on 24th March in the second fixture of their campaign after an away clash against Slovakia three days earlier. The overriding target of course, is qualification to the finals tournament of UEFA Euro 2020, in which Budapest will host several group and knockout-stage matches.
