Volunteer Programme for Women’s Champions League Final now open!
Hungary is well on the way to becoming a highly-accomplished organiser of major sport events. The country’s capital, Budapest, hosts an increasing number of high-profile sport events year on year. Successful event production relies to a great extent on volunteers who are the face and driving force of the event and therefore their role is vitally important.
Beside being the European Capital of Sport for which Budapest is designated in 2019, football events also deserve to be at the fore. This year, Hungary will host the Women’s Champions League Final, a run-up event of the EURO 2020 – the next European Football Championship which will be organised in 12 different cities including Budapest.
The exact date and time of the UWCLF 2019 is 18.05.2019 at 18:00 and the organisers are looking for 130 enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers over 18 years old and with sufficient command of English for 11 different functional areas (Accreditations, Ceremonies, Event Transport, Guest Management & Protocol, Media Services & Operations, Project Management, Right Protection Programme, Social Responsibility &Sustainability, Sponsorship Operations, TV Operations, Volunteer Management).
Hosting the UWCLF 2019 is a great opportunity to foster women's football and inspire the younger generations in football in our country, while also drawing attention to our capital. The aim of the Volunteer Programme is to create a volunteer community for football, engage people in the sport, provide them with new skills and challenges, while also raising awareness of women’s football and women in sport in general.
In addition to being part of a major event and a sports-loving community, volunteers will also have the chance to get into the Volunteer Programme of EURO 2020 directly.
The Volunteer Programme is open to all interested, English-speaking adults who wish to be part of a fun, diverse community while obtaining new skills and memories of a lifetime. Our slogan for the volunteer programme, “Live the experience!”, highlights this very opportunity.
